Missions and Outreach

Tewksbury Congregational Church has a long tradition of service both in our local community and in our global community. Leadership for these efforts comes in many forms but is most commonly through the Missions Committee, which is comprised of up to six members of the Congregation who serve rotating 3 year terms.

The Missions Committee’s main focus is in these three areas:
1. Coordination of hands-on service/outreach projects
2. Collection and disbursement of financial and in-kind gifts
3. Education and advocacy of/for service organizations

The following members currently serve of the Missions Committee for the 2009-2010 calendar year:

2007-2010: Beth McFadyen (Chairperson), Marlene Gasdia-Cochrane
2008-2011: Renee Manning, Sherry Fulton
2009-2012: Joanne Kenney, Laura Holmes

Mission Project Coordinators (MPCs)
In order to spread the wings of giving and outreach at TCC, the Missions Committee has established formal Missions Project Coordinator (MPC) roles for single−project or short−term (1 year) assignments. It is a great way for members to offer their time and talents to TCC without committing to formal committee work or a staff position.
