Family Programs
One of the strengths of our church is that we involve our students in worship and acknowledge them as important members of our church family. It is in the context of these relationships that faith is nurtured. Families are warmly invited to participate in programs designed to provide fun, fellowship, and learning.
Geared for grades one through five, the program begins with a game or activity related to the presented movie theme. Popcorn and water are served during the movie. Parents are welcome to watch the movie with their child, or to leave them in our care. Friends are always welcome and encouraged to come.
Kids in grades three through six meet to learn how to express their faith and tell Bible stories through drama, movement and music. There will be three six-week sessions during the year, which meet Monday afternoons from 3:30 until 5:00. The team will perform their plays at various church events.
Approximately once a month, families meet for an hour from 3:30-4:30 on Saturdays for some drop-in play. Although the program is geared for 4 years and younger, older siblings are welcome. Our goal is to give the kids a safe place to play and the adults some time to connect with others in the same stage of life.
Once a month, a topic is presented that relates to child rearing. While parents attend these various workshops, childcare is provided for all ages free of charge.
